Jessica Hilltout

Jessica Hilltout was born in Belgium, but led a nomadic life until she enrolled at Art college in Blackpool, England. After working in advertising for three years, she and a friend decided to buy a jeep and head East on a voyage which took them 80,000km through Central Asia and Africa and, eventually, back to Brussells. In 2007 Jessica headed for Madagascar via bus, foot and ox-cart with her Hasselblad in hand and bag loaded with film. She soon met Fidsoa, a Malgash photographer and kindred spirit who understood that ‘little things are big. Less is more. Imperfection is perfect.’ Thus they wandered Madagascar in search of imperfection.
